Christmas Musical Update

Last night, we held our second rehearsal for the Sunday School musical "My Favorite Christmas." Our cast includes Elle Kimura, Taylor Fong, Nina Fong, Chris Chin, Nicole Fong, Eddie Silva, Hank Din, Sharon Wong, and Randy Fong. Yes, we have parents and teachers involved. I think everyone is in for a real treat.

Witnessing the aftermath of typhoon Ketsana in the Philippines

I was in Manila on Saturday 9/26 when the typhoon Ketsana (local name "Ondoy") dropped a month's worth of water in less than six hours. The downpour was just breathtaking. What started as an awesome feeling soon turned into dread as you could see streets, homes, and businesses fill up with water.

My niece the singer

My niece Gail Nakano has been singing in choirs throughout high school and now in college. It didn't dawn on me until recently ago that I should have her sing at CCC (bad uncle!). Listen to MP3 fle.
