How did God speak to you through Pastor Louis' 12/06/09 message entitled "The Lion and the Lamb"?

The Lion and the Lamb

I. Sacrifice of Passover ________________.
"3 Tell the whole community of Israel that on the tenth day of this month each man is to take a lamb for his family, one for each household . . . . 5 The animals you choose must be year-old males without defect, and you may take them from the sheep or the goats. 6 Take care of them until the fourteenth day of the month, when all the people of the community of Israel must slaughter them at twilight."
(Exodus 12:3, 5-6)
The Passover illustrates both God's wrath against sin and His incredible mercy and grace.
II. ________________ was God's ultimate sacrificial Lamb who died for our sin.
5 But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the
punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed. 6 We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way; and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all. 7 He was oppressed and afflicted, yet he did not open his mouth; he was led like a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is silent, so he did not open his mouth." (Isaiah 53:5-7)
Our ugly, horrible sin was placed on the innocent, beautiful Jesus.
III. Jesus is now the Almighty _____________ and the Lamb!
"See, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has triumphed. He is able to open the scroll and its seven seals." 6 Then I saw a Lamb, looking as if it had been slain, standing in the center of the throne, encircled by the four living creatures and the elders." (Revelation 5:5-6)
Have we experienced Jesus, Lamb of God, who died for all our sin? Have we experienced the tender mercies and grace of the Lamb of God?
Are we, as Christians, experiencing Jesus as the Lion/Lamb, the Almighty Lord of the universe and our lives?
