How did God speak to you through Pastor Louis' 1/10/10 message entitled, "The Power of Diversity Within Unity!"?

I.      There is diversity in unity within the Body of Christ       (1 Cor. 12:12-13).
 
What is unity? Not ___________________!  Mutual respect, interdependence.
 
We all have blind spots.  But diff “body parts” can help one another see their own blind spots.
 
 
 
II.      Deal with prejudice as a s______(Rom. 15:7; James 2:1).
 
 A. We all need to c_________________ our sin of prejudice (James 5:16).
 
  
B.  We all need to f______________ those who sin  against us (Eph. 4:32).
 
  
C.  Accept one another as God accepts us in Christ (Rom. 15:7).
 
  
"1 As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received. 2 Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. 3 Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. 4 There is one body and one Spirit- just as you were called to one hope when you were called- 5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism; 6 one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all." (Eph. 4:1-6)
 
III.   The _______________________________ of unity (Ephesians 4:3)

"23 I in them and you in me. May they be brought to complete unity to let the world know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me."  (Jn. 17:23)

12The body is a unit, though it is made up of many parts; and though all its parts are many, they form one body. So it is with Christ. 13For we were all baptized by[a] one Spirit into one body—whether Jews or Greeks, slave or free—and we were all given the one Spirit to drink. 14Now the body is not made up of one part but of many.  (1 Cor. 12:12-14)

What is unity? Not Conformity!  Mutual respect, interdependence.

II.      Deal with prejudice as a sin

7Accept one another, then, just as Christ accepted you, in order to bring praise to God.(Rom. 15:7)

1My brothers, as believers in our glorious Lord Jesus Christ, don't show favoritism.  (James 2:1)

 A. We all need to confess our sin of prejudice

16Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.  (James 5:16)

 B.  We all need to forgive those who sin against us

32Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.  (Eph. 4:32)

 C.  Accept one another as God accepts us in Christ
