CCC BASKETBALL is BACK!!!
The 2010-2011 CCC Basketball season is here!
Registration will occur on two Wednesdays
September 1st and September 8th,
at CCC from 6:00-7:30PM

The cost of registration (B, C, D & E) includes a CCC t-shirt, team picture, one tournament, a borrowed jersey, basketball equipment, referees (except E) and gym rental for practice and games.
Instructional fees include a ball, a CCC t-shirt, team picture, jamboree, and gym rental for practice. We will provide the coaches with a t-shirt and team picture.
Each family will be required to:
1. Sell tickets for CCC’s BB Annual Spaghetti Feed as well as volunteer, each team will provide a raffle prize
2. Volunteer at CCC’s Annual Joong Project
3. Volunteer at CCC’s Food Festival
C.C.C. will make every effort to place your child on a team. However, returning players who register ON TIME will have first preference. LATE REGISTRATION may jeopardize your child’s (returning or new) placement on a team. If you want to be on the same team as another player, CCC must be informed at the time of registration. We cannot promise, but will make an effort to place your child with a friend. Some teams may need more players in order to make a complete team.
Northern California Church League (NCCL) rules specify that Players who “switch” between NCCL church programs are ineligible for league play for one year. However, waiver requests to this rule maybe submitted in writing to the NCCL prior to August 1 for possible exemption consideration. NCCL rules specify that all players play for the NCCL church they attend.
C. C. C. PLAYER ELIGIBILITY
Basketball players MUST be a registered and active church participant.
Chinese Community Church Sunday School begins September 5, 2010 to June 12, 2011.
The N.C.C.L requires that students meet the 60% attendance rule during the REGULAR SCHOOL YEAR. Every basketball player MUST submit the CONFIRMATION OF CHURCH ATTENDANCE form to establish eligibility. If a player is attending a church other than CCC he/she must submit an attendance form by the 5th of each month beginning October, 2010 to CCC.
If a Non-Asian player is eligible, the parents and basketball player must understand that the basketball player may not be eligible to play in certain tournaments sponsored by other organizations. The goal of the C.C.C. Basketball Program is to ensure that all players will be placed on a team, as long as the registration form is received before or by the last registration date.
Parents are EXPECTED to accept Team Parent responsibilities.
Players and Parents are REQUIRED to participate in ALL scheduled fundraisers.
Parents need to work one shift for each child participating in the program.

CHURCH ATTENDANCE
As a reminder, Church attendance is required 60% (25 Sundays) of the time during the school year. Maintaining regular church attendance will keep players eligible for league play.
For players not attending CCC, an attendance form, confirmed and signed by the other church teacher/pastor, must be submitted to CCC monthly.
If you find your attendance a bit short this year, you may use your documented church attendance during the summer to makeup time.
Need some extra time to make up?
CCC offers a Jr. High/High School Youth group event twice a month (2nd and 4th Fridays). Participation in a youth group activity/meeting will count toward 1/2 credit of Sunday attendance. Participate in two youth group activities and you've earned 1 credit of Sunday attendance, in addition to the fun you'll have! See the Youth Group section of the CCC website, or contact Pastor Louis Lee or Eddie Silva for more information.
Attendance forms can be dropped in the Basketball Board mailbox in the hallway next to the Church Office.

NCCL BY-LAWS
CCC Basketball Program falls under the auspices of the Northern California Church League (NCCL). The rules of the game, as well as player eligibility are defined in the By-Laws.

CCC BASKETBALL BOARD
Do you enjoy how well the CCC Basketball program is run? Do you have improvement ideas? Perhaps you just want to plain participate.
If so, we welcome you to join the Board, and help drive the program that has provided much enjoyment for our youth since 1990. Just mention your interest to any Board member, and you’ll be welcomed to our next meeting. Meetings are generally held on the 2nd Tuesday of each month.
